Mathew 18:6

I had an inspiration I would like to share. First the relevant text. The bolding is mine and the critical parts of my inspiration.

At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”

Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven”

“Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven

“Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives me.”

“But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”

“Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!”

“If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hand or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire.

“And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire.

Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

“For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.

This is a very important teaching. And it is very true that betraying the trust of a physical child is indeed an especially potent form of sin. But there is a lot said here that is subtle. There are many good-natured low-iq fools in this world. People who despite intellectual limitations are basically good natured and in their own slow, stumbling way want to advance along the path of spiritual development. But they are indeed very dumb. That is, they are spiritual children. They might be 70 years old, but spiritually their development is akin to a child. As my bolded text highlights show, these sincere, good-natured morons are also the children of Christ. Physical age doesn’t matter. There are young souls and there are old souls and betraying the trust of a sincere, but foolish, young soul is one of the most sinful acts it is possible to commit. I want to hammer home that a young soul may be very old in terms of the body. Tricking 70 year old young souls is a thing. And its evil. Young souls inevitably become old souls no matter how slow their path is. The wise must respect and love them and guide them on their way. Not mistreat them and steal from them because they are too slow to understand what is happening.

For those of you who have made a career out of tricking fools this is your warning from God. This is your one chance to (metaphorically) cut out your eye or cut off you leg and still make it into heaven. Indeed you may very well lose a lot of wealth and prestige. You will probably lose a lot of “friends.” You may spend some time in prison. But that is much better than being plunged into hellfire. Recognize your personal moral failure and repent of it. Reverse course and attempt to make the sincere fools whole again. Report your schemes to the proper authorities and accept the plea deals. If you sincerely do this and make the needed efforts forgiveness can be yours. The suffering of penance is much preferable to the suffering of hellfire.

Then Peter came to Him and said, “lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”

Jesus said to him “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

It doesn’t matter how much you have sinned. And those of you who are bad in the hole know exactly that of which I am speaking. Even so forgiveness is there, but only if you repent and attempt to help right the wrongs of this world. Cooperate with the authorities. Turn yourself in and become and informant against the network. Only through sincere regret, repentance and effort can you be forgiven.

The last train is here. The end of the age is close. Either choose to board it or regret your choice for a very long time.

Did you convert to Christianity? btw I’m not asking this out of negativity or hostility at all; just an innocuous curiosity. I support you and your work regardless of your religion(or lack thereof). I’m religious myself, albeit not Christian, and I’m generally positive to anyone from a Christian to an atheist as long as they are civil and polite. Anyway thanks for a good post as always!
