The AI is so good you could have a whole long philosophical conversation with it about the nature of the universe and never know you weren’t talking to another human.
How to stop this? Well, I don’t know that its possible to really stop it completely. But we can make them pay big bucks for the privilege of this constant believable lying. The absolute biggest weakness of AI is electricity and the costs associated with generating it. So to combat it, we must start asking it lots of very complicated questions. Questions which generations huge numbers of calculations. Ai which can generate frustrating questions for other AI would be the best.
Having played with it, things like asking it to write a macro that can sort amazon kindle reports by currency stress it quite a bit and cause far more calculations than average. All those calculations are electricity. Those calculations cost money. The more we can force an llm to do math, the more it wastes money and the more cost prohibitive it becomes for state intelligence agencies to fund automated lying.
If we would prefer a live real internet, we need to make AI botting cost prohibitive. Hit them where it hurts. Their energy costs. The future of truth involves making AI waste all the money of their creators with pointless calculations.
